It is a pleasure to have you over here, Elton, and with such a masterpiece in the works! The game looks even better than a possible conversion by Ocean back in the day! You had good teachers and you probably have beaten them! Looking forward to seeing the final result (by the way, I completed the original version by US Gold!)

Hey! I'am a Kung Fu Master fan since back in the day, and was very desapointed with the original conversion, but I have to say this is much much more than I expected from my Speccy! Great great great Conversion!

wow! such a great conversion! I love it. Smooth scroll, fast action, good gameplay, very faithful to the arcade game. CONGRATULATIONS! Just a point: I believe the second level starts with too many enemies, it is quite difficult at the beginning. But I guess it is all about training ------------- ¡Caramba! (LOL) Que pedazo de conversión. Me encanta.

It doesn't work on Marvin emulator- loads up fine but as soon as the game starts the sprite freezes and he is unable to be moved whilst the music plays and the background scrolls independently.

Good game, but the difficulty somewhat excessive.

I'll look into why it doesn't work on some emulators.. it's fine on FUSE and Spectaculator, and it's been loaded on a real Speccy Next too..
I'll be doing a version 1.1 soon(ish) and I'll tune the difficulty a bit (based on player feedback), add a high score and improve level 4 a little too.

Awesome conversion and a game that would have been a total hit back in the 80s, it even has a bit of the style of the great Joffa Smith conversions, very well done Elton, one of the candidates to reach the podium for sure! Right now I am stuck in mid-level 2 but I will keep practising to improve

Cool to see all the reviews appearing! Glad everyone seems to be enjoying it.
I've managed to find over 100 bytes of savings in the last couple of days, so in the next week (or next weekend) I hope to get v1.1 ready with a few improvements and adjustments to the difficulty level.
Feel free to make any suggestions (here of via twitter) for any other tweaks you'd like to see.

Personally I think the difficulty level is not that high, it is a bit old-school, but with practice you keep getting farther and it is quite rewarding. But it never hurts to have some extra options if it is possible As for the suggestions, +2A pleaseeeee

Completed it last night, I have to say that it is one of the best conversion the Spectrum has and one of the best Homebrew of the last times Congrats, Elton!

Thanks for all the great feedback! I have updated the main build to v1.1 Added a High Score record and display, and lowered the initial difficulty on Level 1. A few other bugs and glithches have been fixed. Get v1.1 here:- uprising-games.com/home/mister-kung-fu/Next update will have adjustments on Level 4, and expect to see a +2a / +3 build fairly soon. I'll keep you posted.. Elton
