Hello!
Around November last year I decided to learn AGD, and started making a Spectrum game based on the Atari 2600 game 'Crackpots'. After the birth of my son in December I've not had a huge amount of free time, hence not posting until now and only just finishing today!
For the purposes of this competition, this is a remake of the MIA game Vicious Vermin which I imagine would have been a Spectrum clone of the Atari 2600 game 'Crackpots'. I'm not very good at drawing bugs or rats, but I can just about manage something resembling people, so in the great Spectrum tradition of inappropriately titled games, I bring you:
Ninja Gardening Simulator - A powerful and accurate depiction of Ninja Botany.
Story
After a long day of intense training, you head to the top of the Dojo. The final duty of the day is to tend to the clan's prized rooftop garden. While watering the flowers, you hear a noise from below. Peering over the edge, reveals that a rival Ninja clan are breaking into the compound and staging an attack!
Sadly, although you locked the doors, the windows are all open (it's a hot day!) Armed only with a huge supply of potted flowers, your new missions is to stop them getting in for as long as possible.
The rival ninjas attack in groups of 12. The longer you can hold them off for, the faster they'll get and the more points you can earn. If 6 manage to enter the Dojo, they'll destroy part of the building and you'll take on that wave again but a slower speed.
The game ends when the rivals have gotten in six times. Good luck Ninja!
