Nice to see that you are taking steps forward and managed to include the sound, that is really aces! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Also nice to see that now we can get on top of the dust bins much easier ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Only thing I am missing in this initial screen is the ability of the cat to jump further after walking for a while, I mean, in the original, if my memory still serves ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) when you were running for a while, the jump was longer than when you jumped from a fixed position. Btw, I am working hardly on the hearts level. This pre-pre-pre-pre release shows it:
Pressing 1 or 3 moves from one level to another.

Keep it up! yep, but I've been ensuring that I do not have more memory issues. I asked in z88dk community as I started to get out of memory for sprites hehe, so I'm trying to save some memory. Improving the cat inside the dust bin also is part of reducing memory consumption. I started using non-masked sprites for more static things. I might even change them to just UDGs if I need even more sprites space.

Your game looks good Jordi. It's a nice touch to have the game as an open project. I have fought myself with z88dk in the past and it didn't result very well. Maybe in a colaborative project it would be easier for me to grasp z88dk quirks. Not right now, because I'm pretty busy in my own game also for the zx-dev, but it's nice to know there is people who can get z88dk to work in making a game out there.

Well, as most open source projects, it has a lack of documentation. Also the APIs change and you find examples that are not even compiling on newer versions. Specially at the start, I had lot of try and error, until I created my own sprite to asm parser (it's my github), and that worked like a charm. I think the author did a very good job, and I think that I should help them documenting when the game is finished ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) .
Also I though that going beyond 64Kb was easier, and looks like it has a bit of pain

I'm now working on the fish level (press 4 for teaser, but it misses a lot of things already). I have some very good news. If there's room for more features, I would like to have a 'poo' feature for misifu, once per level.
x_poo will create (once per level and always on floor) a defecation that will force broom to clean it.
It will be the Catalan touch of 'caganer' tradition.
