This is my second game with AGD. I wanted to take advantage of the Mini Explorer movement routine, so I have create a reinvention of Jetpack. The hero, Elon Musk (ok, Elon M. I do not want to piss off a millionaire), with all his fleet of rockets in operation, can travel to all the planets he terraformed (he alone) and check if if they are fit to live. The gameplay is similar to jetpack, but there are no enemies yet. ------ Updated version 1.0 (final, I think): · added music (thanks to Sergio thEp0pE for AY code) · added loading screen (thanks to Igor Errazking, this one is fantastic xD)

This is a really risky one, as Jet Pac is one of the most remembered games for the Speccy, but after all the experience you are gaining by doing MiniExplorer XXXI, I am sure you are going to do a good one, plus the graphics look even more elaborated and attractive in this one! I am sure there is a lot of people wanting to try it now!

Updated first post with a playable version of game. There are some bugs, I think because there is many sprites, although the number is below the limit. I have to investigate. Another problem, there is not much memory left xD

Another problem, there is not much memory left xD Nice one, you captured the essence, Rafa! a little bit of cleaning up small bugs and you are there! IS the memory enough to add any extra which wasn´t in the original?

Memory is very low, I had to remove some frames of some sprites. The extras I added are: 30 levels (cyclics, like original - 10 planets), new graphics, 6 spaceships (based in falcon rockets)... I wanted any new enemy, but I don't hace space for it. The game is a little buggy yet, but I think there is solution for fix it. Elon Musk would be proud of me.

Vas a añadir música in game? ---- ------ ------------------ Rafa, I love how comes this remake of the omnipresent, classics classic, immortal Jet Pac! It moves very well, smooth and precise and you have made it very playable and addictive! I played a good time, I arrived until the first phase of the second rocket and ... I want more! I really like that you have limited the use of the laser (that's a significant difference from the original) as well as the rocket fuel loading bar. Good screen design and variety of movement patterns of the enemies. Maybe if you add a Bonus phase (a screen where you can not shoot, or a screen where you only have to constantly collect parts of the rocket without falling to the ground ...) would add a plus of variety to the original game mechanics... although it is only an idea, more knowing that memory is limited. Are you going to add music in game? It would be great. Will there be an option to earn extra lives depending on the score? KLOX ?? Good work Rafa, is staying very cool and encouragement (and patience) because there is still a long time for the deadline.

------------------------
I love the ideas of the bonus where your movements are limited, but it is complicated because I have already had to erase some frames simplifying animations and forgetting new sprites. The memory is very low and AGD does strange things even in the game already exported, so I do not promise anything. The thing about the extra lives was also in my head, and a Hiscore that I do not know if it's possible. For music I would have to study xD
KLOX is fuel for the Elon rockets, KeroLox (a combination of kerosene and liquid oxygen). If I update Jetpac, I'll get the latest aerospace innovations, isn't? "Fuel" is outdated.

For AGD there is an application called MUSICIZER (created by David Saphier) that allows you to include in the game music in .pt3 format (and even a loading screen .src) in a very simple and automatic way.

Updated a new beta at first post. The big problem with lasers is gone (I hope), and I optimized memory too.

I was working in a new update fixing more bugs. Anyway, the bouncing enemies sometimes cause the laser cross without touching them. I will try to simplify the script. The close is near, but I don't know if at 5 minutes or 5 light years. xd

Rafa, last version plays very very well. Sometimes fuel capsules seem to cross the ladders when they are falling down.
How about including an extra feature? If the player complete the level without shooting, extra life or bonus. It would be very challenging!
Thanks!

The fuel crossing the floor is made to add some random in levels with many platforms, because you could stay at top waiting the object. This way, sometimes you must go down. Anyway, the extra feature you propose is very interesting, I'll take a look at free memory. xD
